Charity stars as Samantha Best. She was born in Colorado, but quickly became a nomad, living everywhere from Idaho to Hawaii and even Paris before she ended up back in Colorado where she lived a happy snowboarder's life. Charity soon realized that her dreams were still waiting to be fulfilled, so she dropped everything and left for Hollywood with nothing but the clothes she was wearing and her beat up old car. It worked. She got discovered, and pretty soon she was up on screen with Justin Timberlake and Bruce Willis in Alpha Dog, and on TV as Vincent's love interest in Entourage. Charity wants to grow as an artist, but also as a businesswoman. "Little by little," she says, "I'm going to do everything I've ever wanted to do."


When Sam was 8 years old, she lost both her parents within months of one another. Her Uncle Patrick quickly abandoned her to the foster system, and she spent the next few years being shuffled from one family to another in Boston's roughest neighborhoods where she had to toughen up or be eaten alive. Samantha found refuge in books and studying and planning for a day when she could be happy again. Now's that day. She's at Charles University on a full scholarship from her benefactor Dorothy O'Sullivan, surrounded by opportunities for friendship and love—if she can learn to trust anybody but herself.
